Mamm and Albinass fight is epic, heartfelt tragic, and nice view of angles with fan service but also hits you in the feels while Hyunckel and Hym's fight ends in a one sided, one shot instant victory

Yeah, I’ll admit that it was kind of funny how Albinass vs. Maam had this whole episode while Hyunckel was all “I put a hole in your body and threw you off the castle, good luck flying back”

Episode 69, Nice

Hyunckel the sigma chad at it again. Maam took a full episode and had to break a part of her armor to beat Albinass, while Hyunckel didn't even break a sweat and ended it in a few seconds. I feel bad for Hym.

He even led Maam towards Popp when the tides were in his favor. Dunno how to feel about that cause Maam sorta pissing me off recently, not Sakura level, which sucks cause I actually like her a lot more than a lot of other female leads in shows.

We'll just have to wait and see.

Yeah, but then he throws out that "I cant reciprocate love" line, leveling up his edgelord points. That was pretty eyeroll worthy.

Hyunckel, just couldn't tell her he prefers mature women, so he went with cheesy line.

So Hym unfortunately got the short end of the stick but Hyunckel did get a new power so he was just unlucky. Besides the queen is the most powerful piece in chess so of course Maam facing her would take the majority of the focus here. It was a pretty good fight filled with Sakuga and it's so satisfying to see Maam show how far she's come since the start of the series. Let's hope Popp can do the same against the last member of the Royal Guard!

I don't think it's the end for Hym here, he's been hyped so much when they got introduced and he's also the only who was able to cry among the royal guard. Since he's a pawn and pawns have the ability to change into any piece except the king, I think at some point he'll come back powered up with the combined powers of every other members of the royal guard. And since they focused on his ability to cry i think they'll pull a pinochio and make him a real boy to justify him surviving if (and for pacing reasons i think it's likely) he comes back after Hadlar's defeat.

At least maam didnt get useless ike sakura, she got to use her ultimate move once along with her powerup, but its a shame that the author did her diry making it the refractor fist only were of use once and then never more XD

She's not as prominent as the other 2 so everybody loves to hate on her. Despite also learning from one of the San-Nin she didn't have any major stand-out moments or epic battles. Personally I put that down to the fact that she trained as a medic and even if they have a stone-splitting punch, if the best medics are punching enemies to death on the front lines instead of healing the injured, they're wasting all their medical training. She's a medic, and obviously medics don't go fighting on the front lines, but for some reason everybody has had intense hate for her anyway. Even now after so many years have passed and she's now just a supporting character in the inferior sequel/spin-off Boruto, people still mention their hate of Sakura.

I mean she was never alive. She is just sentient due to Hadler's power. She is close to a robot than a living creature, so it makes sense why she feels that way. When you say non-binary folks, I assume humans who are living beings that claim themselves as non-binary unless you also include robots and androids who can fall in love which is fascinating.
